Position Summary We are hiring a Patient Services Coordinator for our new clinic near Harper Road. This front-desk role supports daily operations, including patient check-in, insurance verification, billing assistance, and referral coordination. You'll be a key part of our care team, ensuring a positive patient experience and accurate administrative processes. Key Responsibilities Greet and register patients; verify insurance and personal information Enter data into the EMR system accurately Collect co-pays and assist with billing inquiries Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations Schedule appointments and answer patient questions Maintain organized, HIPAA-compliant records Requirements Strong customer service and communication skills Experience in a medical office preferred Attention to detail and comfort with computers/EMRs Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Work Environment Office setting in a healthcare facility Some physical activity (light lifting, assisting patients) May require evening/weekend availability Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent required Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in front office, billing, or referral coordination. Knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures (CPT/ICD-10), and insurance verification processes. Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (e.g., Athenahealth). Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
