Job Description

Peer Solutions is seeking an experienced, motivated Clinical Director to provide leadership and oversight for our outpatient behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment program. This is a full-time leadership position for someone who is not only clinically knowledgeable, but also able to lead people, develop staff, create accountability, identify problems, and implement solutions. Our ideal candidate is organized, proactive, approachable, and confident in providing direction to clinical staff while maintaining high standards for quality of care, documentation, compliance, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overall leadership and clinical oversight for outpatient and intensive outpatient behavioral health and substance use disorder services. Supervise, coach, and develop clinical leadership and clinical staff. Provide clear direction, expectations, accountability, and follow-through within the clinical department. Identify workflow, performance, documentation, and clinical concerns and develop practical solutions for improvement. Monitor clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, timeliness, medical necessity, and regulatory compliance. Ensure treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, discharge documentation, and other clinical records meet organizational and payer requirements. Oversee the quality and effectiveness of individual, group, and other clinical services. Support staff training and professional development and identify areas where additional education or coaching is needed. Work collaboratively with Billing, Admissions, Operations, and other departments to resolve issues affecting client care, authorizations, documentation, and reimbursement. Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable state regulations, Medicaid requirements, payer standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies. Monitor clinical operations, caseloads, group utilization, client engagement, and other key performance indicators. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, chart audits, corrective action plans, and development of clinical processes. Promote appropriate professional boundaries, communication, teamwork, and accountability among staff. Provide clinical guidance and assist with complex client situations, level-of-care decisions, and other clinical matters as needed. Ensure clinical issues are addressed proactively and appropriately escalated when necessary. Participate as an active member of the organization's leadership team.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Current applicable professional licensure required. Experience providing behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment. Previous clinical supervision, management, or leadership experience required. Knowledge of outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment preferred. Experience with Medicaid documentation, medical necessity, utilization management, and/or prior authorization processes preferred. Strong understanding of clinical documentation and treatment planning. Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to provide both supportive coaching and appropriate accountability. Comfortable working collaboratively with clinical, administrative, billing, and executive leadership.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
