From weekly discussion groups to fun, social networking events, we create a safe space, mentally and physically, for youth of all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.

JOB SUMMARY & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

one n ten is building upon its existing Health & Wellness initiatives to create a broader, coordinated program that strengthens how LGBTQ+ youth access developmentally and age-appropriate healthcare, wellness resources, supportive services, and systems of care. The Health & Wellness Program Manager will lead the development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of this work, helping build a lasting organizational competency in Health & Wellness at one n ten. The Program Manager will strengthen current services while developing developmentally and age-appropriate program navigation systems, partnerships, goals, and measurable outcomes. A central focus will be positioning one n ten as a trusted connector and hub for LGBTQ+ youth health and wellness resources, including clear pathways to trusted providers and systems of care. The Health & Wellness Program Manager will center youth voice and lived experience while collaborating with staff, leadership, the Health & Wellness Board Task Force, families, and community partners to build an accessible, scalable, and sustainable model.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Strategy & Development Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Health & Wellness initiatives. Assess programs, services, resources, and referral practices to identify gaps and opportunities. Translate organizational priorities and community needs into goals, work plans, activities, and measurable outcomes. Develop policies, procedures, tools, and standards that support consistent implementation. Stay informed about emerging needs and promising practices in LGBTQ+ health and wellness. Youth-Centered Programs & Navigation Gather youth, family, and care provider feedback and incorporate lived e xperience into program design and improvement. Develop accessible, culturally responsive, trauma-informed programs, including workshops, education, and wellness activities. Identify barriers to health and wellness resources and develop strategies to reduce them. Develop participant-friendly resources that promote health literacy, self-advocacy, and access to care. Establish referral processes and provide resource navigation while maintaining boundaries between navigation and clinical services. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with regular volunteers to support mission success, encourage ongoing engagement, and promote a positive volunteer experience. Community Partnerships Develop and maintain a vetted network of LGBTQ+ competent healthcare, behavioral health, public health, and community resources. Build partnerships and referral pathways that expand access beyond services one n ten provides directly. Coordinate partner-led programs, education, outreach, screenings, and other services as appropriate. Represent one n ten in relevant coalitions and collaborative initiatives and co mmunity events such as Phoenix Pride, Rainbows Festival, holiday events, etc. Program & Grant Management Manage Health & Wellness initiatives, including timelines, deliverables, partnerships, documentation, and logistics. Coordinate Health & Wellness activities across one n ten programs and locations. Manage program budgets and expenditures with organizational leadership. Lead implementation of grant-funded initiatives and ensure alignment with grant commitments and priorities. Develop sustainable systems and processes that support program growth. Evaluation & Organizational Capacity Building Establish and track program outcomes including participation, referrals, partnerships, resource connections, and youth feedback. Analyze data and feedback to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare program updates and reports. Serve as an internal resource on Health & Wellness programs, referrals, and community resources. Train staff on referral processes, resources, procedures, and appropriate boundaries. Collaborate across departments to integrate Health & Wellness into the broader youth experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of LGBTQ+ youth health and wellness needs, barriers, strengths, and protective factors. Experience developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating programs for youth, young adults, or historically underserved communities. Knowledge of healthcare navigation, behavioral health, public health, housing, social services, or related fields. Strong understanding of trauma-informed, youth-centered, strengths-based, and culturally responsive approaches. Ability to translate priorities and participant feedback into effective programs, partnerships, and measurable outcomes. Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, organizational, and project management skills. Experience with program operations, evaluation, budgets, and grant implementation. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively independently and collaboratively. Demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, sound judgment, confidentiality, and appropriate professional boundaries. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the well-being, dignity, agency, and strengths of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC youth. Value and respect diversity within LGBTQ+ communities and across identities and experiences. Build trust and collaborate effectively with youth, staff, families, partners, providers, funders, and Board members. Think strategically while translating ideas into practical, sustainable implementation. Balance innovation with organizational capacity and long-term sustainability. Skills that come with this lived experience are valuable to this position. Demonstrate leadership to ensure appropriate conduct, safety, and development of participants.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Master's degree or advanced training in public health, social work, healthcare administration, nonprofit management, counseling, or related field preferred. Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, human services, healthcare administration, nonprofit management, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, youth development, healthcare navigation, public health, human services, behavioral health, housing, LGBTQ+ nonprofits, or a related field. Experience developing or improving programs, systems, partnerships, or services for youth or underserved communities. Experience building partnerships with healthcare, behavioral health, housing, social service, or community-based organizations. Experience with program implementation, data and evaluation, budgets, and/or grant-funded initiatives. Experience with healthcare or social service navigation and referral systems, including knowledge of LGBTQ+ competent healthcare, social services, and community resources in Arizona, preferred. Experience with program evaluation, grant reporting, focus groups, and/or community listening sessions. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Salesforce or comparable case management/database systems. Current CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

SCHEDULE

E xempt full-time, primarily during standard business hours, with occasional evening and weekend work to engage youth, attend programs and events, and support organizational initiatives .

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/DEMANDS

Standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, stretching and able to lift 4 0lbs without issue.

TRAVEL:

Ability and willingness to drive a company vehicle and/or your own reliable vehicle to travel to various locations. Mileage reimbursement is available.
