JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
GED/HSD Years of Experience (minimum): One year of customer service and/or administrative experience. Previous experience in a healthcare/hospital setting is HIGHLY preferred.
Skills Required:
Typing speed of 40 wpm, excellent customer service and communication skills. Computer competency - working knowledge of Windows or comparable systems, email, internet-based software, and virtual conferencing systems (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
Position Responsibilities/Expectations:
The administrative team is the first point of contact between the Program and our community providers, laboratories, stakeholders, etc. The administrative team provides warm, friendly, and courteous assistance while triaging and routing calls to appropriate staff.
Daily Case Load:
Call volume: manage approximately 1,399 calls per month via Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) System, Genesys. Manage approximately 130 monthly incoming electronic faxes
Department Details:
The California Prenatal Screening Program is a voluntary, statewide public health service that offers blood tests to pregnant individuals to assess the risk of certain genetic conditions and birth defects in a developing fetus.
Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour Application Question(s): How many years of customer service and/or administrative experience do you have, and have you worked in a healthcare, hospital, medical office, laboratory, or public health setting? Please describe your experience. This position handles approximately 1,399 calls per month using an Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) system. Have you worked in a high-volume call center or healthcare phone environment? If yes, approximately how many calls did you handle per day or month? Have you been responsible for triaging and routing incoming calls from healthcare providers, patients, laboratories, or other stakeholders? Please describe the types of calls you handled and how you determined where to route them. Do you have experience processing incoming electronic faxes or other healthcare documents? If yes, approximately how many faxes/documents did you process, and what steps did you take to ensure they were accurately received, reviewed, and routed? This position requires a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM and proficiency with Windows, email, internet-based applications, and virtual meeting platforms such as Teams or Zoom.
