Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Trained Home Health Care Office Staff member to support our healthcare team in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, healthcare knowledge, and excellent communication abilities to ensure smooth office operations. This role involves coordinating patient services, managing documentation, and facilitating effective internal and external communication to deliver exceptional home health care experiences. Duties Manage scheduling of home health care visits, ensuring timely coordination between clients and care providers. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR), ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations. Handle data entry tasks related to patient information, billing, and insurance claims with precision. Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and insurance companies via phone and written correspondence. Assist with insurance third-party billing processes, verifying coverage and processing claims efficiently. Support revenue cycle management by tracking payments, follow-ups, and resolving billing discrepancies. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for report generation, documentation, and internal communication purposes. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline administrative workflows and improve overall office efficiency. Qualifications Prior administrative experience within the healthcare industry is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential. Knowledge of managed care processes and health insurance policies is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Excellent typing skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry. Effective written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and internal reporting. Experience in schedule management and internal communication within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with insurance billing procedures, revenue cycle management, and third-party payers is beneficial.
