Solace Counseling & Consulting PLLC is looking for a driven, organized, and people-centered Office Intern to join our team. About Solace Counseling & Consulting PLLC Solace Counseling & Consulting PLLC is a outpatient group therapy practice serving individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, and depression. This is a stipend-based internship intended for candidates interested in gaining hands-on experience in health administration. There is potential for the role to evolve into a paid position based on performance and team needs. Duties include but not limited to: Intake all new clients, monitor and distribute all incoming calls/emails from clients to appropriate parties Scheduling appointments, responding to inquiries from clients and staff Assign cases appropriate to client needs and clinicians skill set Provide monthly metrics regarding trends and needs of incoming clients and availability of clinicians Provide initial review of insurance to client and billing staff Maintain spreadsheet of new clients and follow ups Create and implement weekly surveys with clients Managing operations of the practice (policies and procedures) Monitoring insurance claims, reconciliation process Managing daily billing within EHR platform Keeping track of practice metrics (Profit loss, Total kept appointments, payout to clinicians) Identifying strengths and problem areas Identifying, logging and escalating issues within a designated system of record Creating payroll invoices Monitoring liability insurance of each clinician and license renewals Credentialing of new clinicians with insurance panels Preferred Qualifications Interest in mental health or healthcare administration Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology, business, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, or EHR systems is a plus.
