Full-Time Overview We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee client programs and operational performance within a healthcare and pharmacy services environment. This individual will serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client relationships while working closely with internal teams to ensure programs are implemented effectively, contractual expectations are met, and day-to-day operations remain aligned with business and client priorities. The Program Manager will also lead cross-functional initiatives focused on program development, process improvement, team performance, and service delivery. This role requires strong client-facing communication, operational judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Client & Program Management Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client relationships and program initiatives Maintain regular communication with client stakeholders regarding program performance, priorities, operational needs, and upcoming initiatives Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Lead program initiatives from planning and requirements gathering through implementation, evaluation, and ongoing optimization Translate client and business requirements into clear operational plans and workflows Coordinate cross-functional teams to support successful program execution Facilitate recurring client meetings, operational reviews, and business discussions Respond to client questions regarding program processes, performance, trends, training needs, and service requirements Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement Monitor program performance against established expectations, service levels, contractual requirements, and key performance indicators Review operational data and identify trends, risks, service gaps, and opportunities for improvement Conduct process reviews and root cause analysis to identify workflow challenges and operational inefficiencies Recommend and implement practical process improvements that support service quality and operational effectiveness Support change management efforts when new workflows, systems, processes, or program requirements are introduced Identify potential program risks and partner with internal stakeholders to develop appropriate mitigation strategies Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining visibility into priorities, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables Reporting & Business Reviews Coordinate and lead periodic business reviews with client stakeholders Prepare reports and presentations summarizing key performance indicators, trends, accomplishments, risks, and improvement opportunities Translate program data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve program efficiency, service delivery, and overall client satisfaction Maintain accurate program documentation and reporting to support contractual and operational requirements Team Leadership Lead and support a team responsible for day-to-day program operations Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and development of program staff Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance support to team members Ensure employees understand program expectations, workflows, service standards, and client requirements Develop and maintain training materials, operational procedures, standard operating procedures, and reference guides Support team adoption of new processes, workflows, and program requirements Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the team Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience within healthcare, pharmacy services, pharmaceutical services, patient support programs, healthcare operations, or a related environment Experience managing client relationships, programs, or operational partnerships Prior experience supervising or directly managing employees Strong understanding of healthcare operations and service delivery Experience leading cross-functional projects or operational initiatives from planning through implementation Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps, evaluate root causes, and implement sustainable improvements Experience gathering business or client requirements and translating them into operational workflows Strong project organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, and stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to communicate effectively with employees, leadership, clients, and external stakeholders Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree such as an MBA, MHA, or related graduate degree Previous experience supporting specialty pharmacy, patient services, reimbursement, pharmacy operations, or pharmaceutical programs Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturer or healthcare client relationships Experience working with contractual performance requirements and service-level metrics Experience with project management, process improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements and regulated environments Experience developing operational procedures, workflow documentation, training materials, or implementation plans Strong presentation skills and experience communicating program performance to senior stakeholders Demonstrated ability to manage multiple
