Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Hearing Care Provider to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive hearing assessments, expertly fit and program hearing aids, and provide exceptional patient care. Duties Conduct thorough hearing assessments using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to evaluate patient hearing health. Perform hearing aid fittings, including programming and fine-tuning devices with specialized software such as hearing aid fitting software and NOAH. Manage patient intake, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, symptoms, and concerns using patient management software and EMR/EHR systems. Educate patients on hearing health, device usage, maintenance, and available options to enhance their understanding and satisfaction. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret audiological data and support comprehensive patient care plans. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively, including audiometers, hearing aid programming tools, and other clinical devices. Maintain detailed records of patient assessments, treatment plans, ICD coding where applicable, and follow-up procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Skills Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy related to the auditory system, and clinical audiology principles. Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with ICD coding for accurate documentation. Experience with hearing assessments, hearing aid fitting software, and hearing aid programming techniques. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations, including pediatrics. Competence in using patient management software, EMR/EHR systems, and medical equipment operation for efficient workflow management. Understanding of occupational health standards relevant to audiology practice settings. Ability to perform detailed patient assessments while demonstrating excellent client communication skills for effective consultation and sales when appropriate.
