Organization Information The Franklin County Public School District is made up of 11 schools: One Early Learning Village, six elementary schools (K-5), two middle schools (6-8), two high schools (9-12), and an alternative education center. The district is also enhanced with a career and technical school that serves students from the high schools. At all levels the focus is on teaching concepts and skills our students need to be successful at the next stage of their lives. At the elementary level, the focus is on building a solid foundation in literacy and mathematics. This provides a solid base for the future attainment of more complex literary and mathematical skills and concepts. Middle schools continue to build on these skills and concepts, while letting students explore a wider variety of courses. Franklin County's high schools offer a varied curriculum designed to prepare students for transition to adult life, including career options at the Career Technical Center.
