The Hearing Connection is looking for a compassionate, dependable person who wants to build a meaningful career helping people hear and communicate better. This is a trainee position. Previous experience in hearing healthcare is not required. We are looking for someone with the right personality, work ethic, and desire to learn. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced hearing professionals while working toward the education and licensing requirements needed to become a Hearing Instrument Specialist. What You'll Learn How to perform hearing evaluations and explain results Hearing aid technology, fitting, programming, and troubleshooting Patient counseling and follow-up care Ear impressions, hearing aid maintenance, and basic repairs Clinical documentation and office procedures How to build long-term relationships with patients and their families The professional and licensing requirements for becoming a Hearing Instrument Specialist What We're Looking For A warm, patient, and professional personality Strong communication and listening skills Comfort working with older adults and their families The ability to learn technical and clinical information Dependability, attention to detail, and good judgment Computer proficiency A genuine interest in helping people A high school diploma or equivalent An Associate's degree or higher. Experience in healthcare, customer service, education, sales, banking, or working with seniors may be helpful, but it is not required.
