- examinations are held 5 or 6 times a year, the schedule varies based on demand. Additional Comments Practical Examiners are compensated $85.00 per day; the number of days per month/year may vary depending on scheduling needs. Examinations are held Monday thru Friday. Hearing Aid Dispensing Practical Examiner for NYC Up to 6 times/year
