• Receive, log and process patient specimen for gross examination
• Perform routine histology procedures, including embedding, paraffin microtomy, staining and mounting, IHC staining, perform frozen sections
• Follow established departmental policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety and environmental controls
• Understand and observe all confidentiality and HIPAA provisions
• Perform gross examination of specimens Certifications/Licenses -

Required:

• HT or HTL (ASCP) Certified
• Active State of Florida license

Qualifications:

• AS in biological/physician sciences or equivalent and/or
• Twenty-four hours of non-entry level chemistry/biology courses to meet CLIA standards for grossing

Job Type:

Full Time Schedule:

• Monday through Friday; 5:00 a.

m. to 1:30 p.m.

Experience:

• Must have current grossing experience, embedding, and microtomy

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
