Job Description
Histologist - ( 260002JO ) Description Under general supervision following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, prepares tissue specimens and body fluids for microscopic examination and performs a wide variety of standard and non-standard histological tests and stains and a limited variety of new, modified, or special tests and examinations. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Qualifications Baccalaureate or Associates degree in biology, microbiology, chemistry, physiology, or closely related field or equivalent education and experience. Must meet and maintain Florida licensure regulations for performing moderate and high complexity testing as outlined in CLIA 88 regulations.
Experience:
One (1) year of experience in histologic techniques in clinical laboratory of a hospital or outpatient clinic. Six (6) month training period. Florida License .Primary Location :
