Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team in. This vital role involves performing a wide range of laboratory procedures, including tissue sectioning, histological techniques, and pathology testing, to support and patient care. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with laboratory tissue sample preparation, immunohistochemistry, and laboratory information systems (LIS), ensuring accurate and efficient processing of specimens. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to clinical diagnostics in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Prepare and process tissue samples for histological analysis, ensuring adherence to laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) and CLIA regulations. Perform laboratory tissue sectioning, embedding, staining, and immunohistochemistry techniques with precision and consistency. Conduct pathology testing, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis to support diagnostic workflows. Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration, quality control, and proper functioning at all times. Utilize laboratory information systems (LIS) to record data accurately, track specimens, and generate reports for clinical or research purposes. Follow aseptic techniques during specimen handling to prevent contamination and ensure sample integrity. Assist with laboratory inventory management and ensure compliance with safety protocols related to laboratory procedures and hazardous materials. Requirements Proven clinical laboratory experience with a strong understanding of laboratory techniques such as histotechnology and immunohistochemistry. Hands-on research laboratory experience involving tissue sample preparation and pathology testing. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology principles relevant to laboratory work. Familiarity with laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs), CLIA regulations, and hospital or clinical environment standards. Experience with laboratory tissue sectioning, immunological techniques, specimen collection/processing, and vital signs measurement. Ability to operate medical laboratory equipment accurately while maintaining aseptic techniques. Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow detailed protocols consistently in a fast-paced setting.
