Role Overview As a Histologist , you'll prepare and process tissue specimens from fixation to final slide preparation, ensuring accuracy and quality in support of patient diagnosis. You'll also help maintain lab compliance and equipment while working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Process tissue from fixation to final slide, including special stains and techniques Maintain required files, records, and documentation for compliance Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments Stock and manage laboratory supplies Use medical terminology and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications Certification & Licensure Required:
Histology Technician or Histology Technologist Florida License Preferred:

ASCP certification

Education Required:

High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

Technical degree in Histotechnology or Associate's in a related field

Experience Preferred:
