Job Description

Travel Histotechnologist

Location:

993 Johnson Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30342

Department:

705A Histology Lab

Duration:

13 Weeks

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Histology experience ASCP Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) Certification (Required) Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program or Associate's degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences Job Responsibilities Process surgical pathology specimens Accession specimens into Cerner Collect tissue blocks from Pathologists Process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens Prepare high-quality histology slides for diagnostic evaluation Support Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows Important Information No local candidates (must reside 50 miles from the facility). Travelers are expected to work the following holiday schedule: 2

Major Holidays:

Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Year's Day 1

Minor Holiday:
