Job Summary:
We are Northside Hospital Atlanta is seeking an experienced Histotechnologist (HT/HTL) for a 13-week travel assignment in a busy Pathology Laboratory . The ideal candidate will have strong histology experience and be proficient in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and pathology laboratory workflows.Responsibilities:
Receive and accession pathology specimens into Cerner . Collect tissue blocks from Pathologist Assistants (PA staff). Process tissue specimens for histologic examination. Embed tissue specimens and perform microtomy (sectioning). Stain histology slides using routine and special staining techniques. Assist with pathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) laboratory workflows. Ensure quality control and accurate documentation throughout the histology process. Follow all laboratory safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards.Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent Histotechnologist experience . ASCP HT or HTL certification required. Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program or an Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences. Experience in pathology laboratory specimen processing and slide preparation. Cerner experience preferred. Previous travel experience preferred.Pay:
$1,650.00- $1,750.
