Job Description

As a Dermatology Histotech, you will play a crucial role in our dermatology practice. You will be responsible for processing and preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination by our dermatologists. Your attention to detail and expertise in histotechniques will directly contribute to accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized histotechniques, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining. Operate and maintain histology equipment and instruments. Ensure quality control and adherence to established protocols in all histology processes. Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation. Collaborate with dermatologists and pathologists to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in dermatology histotechnology.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or a related field. Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by a recognized accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP). Proficiency in histotechniques, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
