Position Overview We're seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Sterile Processing Instructor to lead daytime classes for our Sterile Processing Technician Program. This role is ideal for professionals who value infection control, surgical support, and student mentorship—and who want to make a lasting impact on the future of patient safety. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging instruction in sterile processing principles, instrumentation, and infection control Facilitate hands-on training in decontamination, sterilization, and surgical tray assembly Prepare students for national certification and entry-level employment Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback Maintain compliance with Academy policies and industry standards Collaborate with program leadership to ensure curriculum quality and relevance Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00AM to 12:30 PM Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in sterile processing or central service CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, microbiology, and surgical instrumentation Prior teaching or mentoring experience a plus Excellent communication and organizational skills Passion for student success and healthcare excellence Why Join Us? In person. Requirements Proven experience in clinical instruction within sterile processing or related healthcare fields such as radiology, anesthesiology, or surgery. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pathology, and diagnostic radiology relevant to sterilization procedures. Supervising experience in a clinical or educational setting with a focus on hospital environments. Experience with adult education methodologies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. Prior college faculty experience or higher education teaching credentials are preferred but not required.
