The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory tissue processing, histological techniques, and pathology testing, with a focus on maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality. As a Histotechnician, you will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, supporting diagnostic and research activities, and ensuring compliance with laboratory regulations. Duties:

Prepare and process tissue specimens using precise histological laboratory techniques, including embedding, sectioning, and staining. FISH and Cytology sample prep- Reading of FISH Gross, embed, section, and stain tissue samples using histologic techniques Maintain accurate labeling and documentation of samples- Ancillary test send-outs Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment Assist pathologists and medical staff with laboratory procedures and analyses Perform general laboratory maintenance and comply with safety protocols Support other lab-related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, or a related life science) Must have completed the appropriate amount of science and math coursework Certification (HT or HTL) is preferred but not required; will provide training Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational and time management skills Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
