Job Description

Qualifications:
HS diploma / GED AS Degree preferred HT/HTL preferred Experience in Mohs or Histology lab required Knowledge of CLIA and OSHA standards
Responsibilities:
The Mohs Surgeon performs all aspects of grossing specimens. The Mohs Histotechnician's primary responsibilities include: Recording the cases in Mohs Accession log Relaxing, embedding, sectioning, H&E staining (linear stainer), and coverslipping slides. Maintaining daily Quality Control logs in accordance with CLIA and OSHA standards Performing daily equipment checks on all lab equipment Filing and maintaining slides at the end of day Proper disinfection of laboratory and equipment Other duties as needed to assist the Mohs Surgeon and Mohs team (non-patient care) Maintain all lab documentation as directed by CLIA regulations
