Short Description Performs maintenance, calibration, method validation, troubleshooting and minor repairs on assigned instrumentation. Ability to logically and independently plan and organize work assignments. Interpersonal skills must be well developed. Should possess the initiative and ability to set and achieve high standards of performance. Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints. Must possess analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally, and in writing Experience Required One year laboratory experience preferred (Student experience acceptable). Education Requirements Associate's degree and completion of an accredited histology technician or other applicable training program is preferred. Training and experience in lieu of education is acceptable. License/Certification Requirements ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) Registry preferred.
