Job Description

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this job is to prepare specimens for review by the Pathologist. Prepares and processes all specimens submitted for histological and cytological studies.
Education:
High school education or equivalent, plus A.A.S. Degree or equivalent in Histotechnology.
Preferred:
A.A.S Degree in Histotechnology with ASCP.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Preferred ASCP but not required.
Experience:
Prior is experience is preferable but not required as long as education requirement is met.
