Job Description

Title:

Histology Technician Nassau County, NY Schedule:

Monday Friday 10:00 AM 6:30

PM Compensation:

$38.00 $55.00 per hour (Based on experience)

The Opportunity:

Join our dedicated laboratory team in Nassau County as a Full-Time Histology Technician. In this role, you will play a critical part in the diagnostic process, ensuring the highest quality of patient care through precision microtomy, embedding, and staining procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare high-quality slides for routine H&E and special stain procedures. Maintain laboratory excellence by performing and documenting preventative maintenance. Proactively troubleshoot issues within the processing, embedding, and cutting workflows. Uphold rigorous safety and quality control standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in microtomy and embedding. At least 1 year of high-complexity laboratory testing experience. High School Diploma required; BS/AS in Histotechnology or related science preferred. ASCP Certification (HT/HTL) and NYS Licensure are highly preferred. Why Join Us?
