Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Histology Technician, where you will play a vital role in preparing and processing tissue specimens for diagnostic and research purposes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care, pathology studies, and scientific advancements. You will work closely with pathologists, laboratory scientists, and medical professionals to ensure accurate specimen handling and high-quality laboratory procedures. Your expertise will support critical diagnoses and research initiatives, making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and scientific discovery. Responsibilities Prepare tissue specimens through embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting for microscopic examination Collect and process biological samples following strict laboratory protocols and aseptic techniques Maintain accurate documentation of all laboratory procedures, specimen tracking, and patient information Ensure proper handling of specimens using correct anatomy knowledge, pathology terminology, and laboratory techniques Perform routine quality control checks on equipment and reagents to guarantee reliable results Follow safety guidelines diligently, including aseptic techniques and infection control practices to prevent contamination Requirements Prior clinical laboratory experience with tissue processing or histology techniques Experience working in research laboratories or hospital settings preferred Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology essential for precise specimen handling Proficiency in laboratory procedures such as fixation, embedding, microtomy, staining, and slide preparation Hands-on experience with specimen collection methods and processing of biological samples Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and patient care procedures is a plus Strong understanding of laboratory safety standards, aseptic technique, and laboratory equipment maintenance Excellent attention to detail coupled with the ability to follow complex protocols accurately Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly support groundbreaking research and exceptional patient care.
