Job Description

Overview Pathology Consultants, an independently owned lab established in 1979, is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented employee with MLT training or an associate's degree in a science field. A safe driving record and the ability to work early hours is required, some overtime may be required at times. This position provides the opportunity to learn multiple unique skills in histotechnology, with on-the-job training, for the right person. Duties
  • Perform specimen processing and prepare slides for microscopic examination
  • Utilize laboratory techniques to assist pathologists in diagnosing diseases
  • Handle and process tissue samples with precision and care
  • Maintain accurate records of specimens and results
  • Work collaboratively with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate testing
  • Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and physiology in daily tasks Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with research laboratory protocols and procedures
  • Proficiency in specimen collection processing and handling
  • Knowledge of histology techniques and equipment
  • Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) is a plus
