HTL Certification Teaching Full Job Description Work Schedule :
100% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM with rotating on-call weekends. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Pay :
This position may be eligible for a $4,000 sign-on bonus. Additional components of compensation may include: Evening and night shift differential Weekend differential On-call pay Be part of something remarkable Play an essential role in the quality and safety of patient care, performing a wide range of procedures that assist our providers with the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients and their health needs. We are seeking a Senior Histology Technician - Surgical Pathology to: Provide daily direction to laboratory staff with regard to laboratory policies and procedures and serve as the dedicated resource for procedures, equipment and education. Serve as a comprehensive provider of laboratory testing, expert medical interpretation of specimens and innovation in laboratory technology Develop and maintain teaching / training materials. Coordinate work-flow throughout the laboratory to ensure quality results are reported in a clinically useful time frame. Qualifications Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology OR Education and training equivalent to an associate degree to include:
Education:
60 semester hours including either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses Required Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science Preferred Work Experience 2 years histology or relevant laboratory experience.
