Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Support residents during meal preparation, cooking, and feeding to promote proper nutrition Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and ensure proper use for resident safety during transfers Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, patient observations, and medication administration Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe, sanitary living environment in accordance with health standards Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, or memory care is highly valued Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, vital signs measurement, and basic nursing skills required Previous caregiving experience involving medication administration, care planning, or long-term care is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; ongoing training in hospice or home health care is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility needs Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with team members, residents, and families Join us as a Direct Support Professional to make a positive impact every day! $11.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 36.0 per week
