1:1 Direct Support Professional -

Job Description Hours:

Monday - Friday 1:30pm-9:30pm The 1:1 Direct Support Professional (DSP) is primarily responsible for providing individualized supervision and support to the individual during awake hours. The DSP will ensure the individual's safety, promote independence, and implement the individual's Behavior Support Plan (BSP) as directed.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide individualized supervision and maintain the individual's safety during awake hours. Implement and follow the individual's Behavior Support Plan, including approved interventions, redirection, and support strategies. Assist with personal care and hygiene needs while promoting independence and dignity. Observe, document, and report medication-related behaviors, including medication refusals or difficulties. Assist with meal preparation, meals, and appropriate nutritional routines. Provide behavioral support and respond appropriately to changes in behavior. Support participation in community outings and activities. Provide transportation and ensure safe travel during community activities and appointments. Assist with activities of daily living and independent living skills, including household chores and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Complete required documentation, including daily notes, behavior documentation, and other applicable records. Communicate relevant concerns, changes in behavior, and significant events to the appropriate supervisor. Attend required training and maintain knowledge of the individual's needs, BSP, and agency policies and procedures.

Training:

Training will be provided regarding the individual's specific needs, Behavior Support Plan, required documentation, safety procedures, and other responsibilities necessary to provide appropriate 1:1 support. Pay:

$12.00 per hour
