Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity. Support clients with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and health-related documentation in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations. Engage in patient observation and monitor behavioral or health changes to promptly address concerns or escalate issues as needed. Facilitate community outings, transportation, and meal preparation to promote social engagement and nutritional well-being. Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's support, memory care, and autism support strategies. Use manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods safely to assist with mobility challenges. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties like cleaning common areas and personal spaces. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide patient care with patience, compassion, and professionalism. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, dementia, or intellectual disabilities is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while adhering to proper procedures. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with team members. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of client information.
