Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, or requiring home care services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work empathetically with diverse populations. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Monitor patients' health by observing and reporting any changes in their condition to healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling patient information. Support clients in engaging in social activities and maintaining their independence. Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed. Document care provided and any relevant observations accurately. Requirements Previous experience in a nursing home, home care setting, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of patient care techniques and familiarity with memory care practices is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and transferring clients when necessary.
