Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others.Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Implement individualized care plans and behavior management strategies
- Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
- Monitor and document vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for individuals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare or related field is a plus
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques, including first aid and CPR
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
