Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Assist individuals with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
  • Support individuals in participating in community activities and social interactions
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
  • Drive residents to appointments, outings, and activities as needed
Skills:
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and other team members
  • Ability to follow instructions and implement care plans accurately
  • Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with individuals with special needs
  • Ability to lift heavy objects or assist with lifting individuals when necessary
  • Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for individuals' needs Please note that a background in nursing or social work is not required for this position.
