Part-Time Caregiver / Direct Support Professional Cabot, Arkansas Are you looking for meaningful part-time work where you can make a difference in someone's life? ACCESS is hiring a compassionate and dependable Caregiver / Direct Support Professional in Cabot. A Direct Support Professional, often called a DSP, provides hands-on support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities. In this role, you will help individuals build independence, develop important life skills, participate in activities, and work toward personal goals. No previous direct support experience is required. ACCESS will provide the training you need before you begin working directly with a client. What You Will Do As a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional, you may:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities and personal goals
  • Help clients develop skills such as cooking, budgeting, communication, and household routines
  • Plan and participate in recreational and community-based activities
  • Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and other locations
  • Encourage independence, personal choice, and community involvement
  • Follow individualized support and behavior plans
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment
  • Document services and communicate important updates

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Minimum of 18 years' old Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential job duty listed No specific experience is required; however, the employee must complete two full days of training and orientation prior to working directly with any client, with one day of training being client specific Travel Requirements Moderate travel is required for this position; this travel includes transporting students/clients. ACCESS drivers are required to maintain a valid Driver's License, current auto liability insurance and registration, a clean driving record, and physical ability to drive to local and non-local locations throughout Arkansas.
