Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential direct patient care, support clinical staff, and ensure the comfort and safety of our diverse patient population. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support. Maintain a safe environment by following aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care and phlebotomy; assist with infection control protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or behavioral health settings to deliver comprehensive patient service. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and HIPAA privacy laws. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental delays, or in geriatrics and long-term care environments. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks; proficient in medical documentation practices. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe patient care. Experience in diverse clinical settings including hospital medicine, post-acute care, outpatient clinics, or home & community care environments. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and assist with complex procedures like catheter or wound care. Excellent caregiving skills combined with a compassionate attitude toward patients of all ages—including pediatrics and senior populations—especially those requiring memory or dementia care. Certification in basic life support (BLS) and familiarity with emergency response protocols such as Level I Trauma Center procedures or ICU standards.
