In this vital role, you will empower clients to live as independently as possible in their own homes while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties Assist clients in their homes with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and assist clients during meal times to promote independence and social interaction Maintain a clean, safe home environment by performing routine light housekeeping in the client's living areas Support clients in engaging in community activities, social events, and recreational programs to foster socialization and community integration Provide transportation and accompaniment to appointments, errands, and community outings as needed Document care activities accurately in compliance, regulations and agency policy Experience Prior experience working in home health, group homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques Hands-on experience with patient monitoring Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities Certification in CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance is required Experience in long-term or in-home care environments demonstrating patience, empathy, and strong caregiving skills is essential Ability to perform light housekeeping duties while maintaining safety standards Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance required for in-home visits Join us as a Direct Support Professional if you're passionate about making a positive impact through dedicated, in-home caregiving.
