Job Description

Mercy is seeking a Primary Care Assistant - LPN to join our Float Pool supporting clinics across the Midwest. In this role, you'll provide direct patient care, including vital signs, injections, wound care, and medication administration, while assisting providers with exams and procedures. You'll update and manage EHR documentation, support care coordination, and educate patients on treatment plans. As part of Mercy's collaborative culture, you'll adapt to varied practice settings, contribute to quality improvement, and grow through ongoing training and development opportunities. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care including vitals, injections, wound care, and medication administration under provider direction. Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with exams, procedures, and treatment preparation. Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Support patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Float between multiple primary care clinics, adapting to varied workflows and teams. Coordinate patient flow, rooming, and basic triage to ensure efficient clinic operations. Follow infection control, safety, and quality standards to support excellent patient outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support comprehensive patient care.
