Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively to prevent injury Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and communicate effectively with clients and team members Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings, ensuring safety at all times Skills Proven experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living or home health environments Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or Alzheimer's care strategies Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers using appropriate methods Competence in administering medications, taking vital signs, and responding to medical emergencies with CPR or first aid certification Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or autism spectrum conditions Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork in caregiving settings Embark on a fulfilling career where your compassion fuels positive change!
