Job Description
Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs. This role involves supporting clients in their daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and respectful environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or related fields, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with disabilities, dementia, or in hospice care Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment Assist with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure client safety Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals Support clients in participating in community activities and outings to promote social engagement Follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs and preferences Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care is preferred Knowledge of patient care, dementia care, senior care, or working with people with disabilities is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility safely Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Certification or training in medication administration is a plus but not required Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed Commitment to providing respectful and person-centered care that promotes dignity and independence Join our team if you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through compassionate caregiving.
