Summary As a Direct Support Professional at SunBelt Care Suites, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily activities. This position is essential to our commitment to providing exceptional care and support, ensuring that our clients lead fulfilling lives. Responsibilities Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist with meal preparation and medication management as needed. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans. Requirements Experience in caregiving or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential. Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary. Knowledge of assisted living, memory care, or hospice care practices is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are advantageous.
