We are currently seeking energetic, compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are qualified and willing to transport members as part of their regular job responsibilities. Transportation Is an Essential Part of This Position Applicants for this position must be able and willing to transport the individuals we serve. Transportation responsibilities are a regular and required part of the position and include: Providing transportation at the beginning of the scheduled shift , including assisting with morning/member pickup routes as assigned. Providing transportation at the end of the scheduled shift , including afternoon/member drop-off routes as assigned. Driving and/or assisting with transportation for company outings, community activities, appointments, events, and other program-related activities during the workday. Following all company transportation, vehicle safety, and member supervision procedures. Maintaining eligibility to drive under company and insurance requirements. Employees who meet the requirements and are assigned driving responsibilities are eligible for an additional driver pay differential . What You'll Do As a DSP, you will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a fun, engaging, and person-centered environment by: Assisting individuals with daily living skills and greater independence. Providing safe and dependable transportation as assigned. Supporting community outings, recreational activities, events, and adventures. Leading games, crafts, fitness activities, life-skills lessons, and group activities. Encouraging social interaction, confidence-building, and community engagement. Helping individuals develop communication, employment, and independent living skills. Providing support with personal care needs when necessary. Creating a safe, positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment. Documenting progress toward individual goals and service plans accurately and timely. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements : High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Valid driver's license. Ability to provide a certified five (5)-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)/driving record. No tickets, moving violations, or other driving infractions within the previous five (5) years. Ability and willingness to transport members at the beginning and end of the workday and during company outings and activities. Ability to meet company and insurance requirements for driving. Ability to successfully complete required background screening. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card. Ability to complete and maintain all required training and certifications. Because transportation is an essential responsibility of this particular position, candidates who do not meet the driving requirements will not qualify for this DSP/Driver opening. Pay:
$17.00 - $18.50 per hour

Do you have a clean 5 year driving record, which means no tickets or infractions within the past 5 years? In order to be eligible to drive under our agency's insurance policy, you must be over the age of 25yrs. Are you over the age of 25? Are you willing to undergo a background check with the state of Arizona? Are you able to reliably commute to the location you are applying to? This position is in Green Valley, are you ok with the commute?
