Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medication as prescribed and document all care activities accurately Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Operate standard passenger vehicles safely for client transportation or errands when required Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury for both clients and caregivers Engage in effective communication with clients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and updates Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping, meal preparation, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Manage behavioral challenges with patience and positive reinforcement techniques in group home or residential settings Support clients' emotional well-being through companionship, active listening, and engaging activities Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated expertise in assisting with ADLs and providing dementia or Alzheimer's care Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, CPR certification, and first aid training required or obtainable upon hire Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks confidently Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients from diverse backgrounds Valid driver's license with experience operating standard passenger cars for client transportation purposes Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to caregiving in home & community settings Join us in delivering exceptional care that empowers individuals to live their best lives!
