Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional / Registered Behavior Technician to provide high-quality support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. The ideal candidate will implement behavioral therapy techniques, assist with daily living activities, and contribute to the development of personalized care plans. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients' developmental goals. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, feeding, and mobility support. Collect and document behavioral data accurately to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Support clients during teaching sessions focused on communication, social skills, and life skills development. Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education professionals and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support. Promote positive behavior management strategies to foster a safe and supportive environment. Educate families and caregivers on behavioral techniques and progress updates. Adhere to all safety protocols and confidentiality standards related to medical records and client information. Qualifications Experience working with adults or individuals with developmental disabilities for at least six months. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices, patient care, and medical terminology is a plus. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement care plans effectively. Strong data collection skills for tracking behavioral progress accurately. Excellent communication skills for working with clients, families, and team members. Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding medical records and confidentiality standards. Prior experience in behavioral health or patient care settings is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.
