Support needs vary from person to person, creating opportunities for providers with a wide range of interests, skills, and experience levels. Responsibilities Support needs vary by individual but may include: Assisting with daily living activities and routines Supporting meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and household tasks Providing companionship and fostering meaningful social connections Assisting with personal care and hygiene as needed Supporting participation in community activities, events, and recreational opportunities Providing transportation to appointments, activities, and errands Encouraging independence, confidence, and self-advocacy Supporting communication and social engagement Assisting individuals in working toward personal goals and life skills development Maintaining a safe, respectful, and positive environment Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and responsible Ability to work independently Previous caregiving, direct support, education, healthcare, or related experience is preferred but not required CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Ideal Candidates Are Compassionate and patient Positive, encouraging, and energetic Dependable and trustworthy Flexible and adaptable Comfortable supporting individuals in community settings Respectful of personal choice, dignity, and independence Passionate about helping others achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives Why This Work Matters As a support provider, you have the opportunity to make a lasting impact in someone's life.
