Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

AWAKE overnight must be willing and able to stay awake Must be compassionate, patient, and understanding Must have a desire to work with the senior population High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be 18 years old or older Must pass all health screening such as a Physical, and TB test Must have current basic first aid or obtain it within the first 30 days of hire. 1 year previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting Strongly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care and Hospice care is a plus Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members

Essential Functions:

Resident Care Must know How To Clean thoroughly 75% of overnight shift is cleaning common areas of facility and resident Laundry Assisting residents with ADL tasks including housekeeping tasks, making beds and or changing bed linens, cleaning residents rooms, cooking & serving meals, assisting with personal laundry, showers, toileting, dressing, undressing, oral care, hair care, transfers and ambulation and any other needs addressed on the residents Care plan.

• Respond to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly. Observe residents for safety, changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, any change of condition or other pertinent information must be reported promptly, to supervisor. Medication reminders and documentation Record keeping entering Notes daily in resident's files. Uphold Residents' Rights at all times Support and uphold all company policies and care philosophy Demonstrate a positive attitude and contribute to an atmosphere of team spirit and cooperation within the Community Promote customer service and positive community relations by treating residents, families, other staff, and all visitors in a courteous, helpful and friendly manner Coordinate and implement fun activities such as arts and crafts, game nights, book club, engage residents in meaningful conversation, and socialization Keep the environment safe and clean for all residents.
