•Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), where you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with diverse needs to live fulfilling, independent lives. As a DSP, you'll be at the forefront of creating a safe, respectful, and engaging environment, ensuring each person receives the attention and assistance they deserve. Your energy, patience, and proactive approach will make a meaningful difference every day. This is an entry level position ,will train , must have a caring . 1 position Monday thru Friday 2pm-10pm 1 position Saturday & Sunday (only) 8am-6pm Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices. Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas. Engage residents in social activities, community outings, and recreational programs to promote socialization and mental stimulation. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, progress notes, and incident reports in compliance with privacy standards such as HIPAA. Perform light cleaning duties to uphold a safe and hygienic environment within group homes or assisted living facilities. Skills Proven experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's and memory care), or in hospice or senior care settings. Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures to ensure safety during crises. Familiarity with assisted living environments, home health care practices, nursing home routines, and long-term care protocols. Ability to perform patient observation and monitoring effectively while maintaining patience and compassion. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility challenges using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices. Understanding of medication administration procedures and care plans tailored to individual needs. Join us in making a positive impact!
