This position involves working closely with clients to enhance their quality of life, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. The DSP will engage in various activities that foster personal development, social interaction, and community involvement. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, encouraging socialization and engagement in community activities. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences. Monitor client behavior and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Facilitate transportation for clients to appointments, social events, or recreational activities. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and social workers to coordinate care and support services. Skills Experience in hospice care, assisted living, group home settings, or home health environments is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Knowledge of patient care practices and familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial.
