• SPED Support Aide & Health/Personal Care Aide

• Position Overview
• As a member of the Adult Transition Program team, you will work alongside special education teachers, job coaches, therapists, and support staff to provide individualized assistance in classroom, community, and vocational settings.
• SPED Support Aide Responsibilities
• + Provide 1:1 or small-group support during instructional, vocational, and community-based activities + Assist students with life skills, employment readiness, communication, and social development + Support implementation of behavior support plans and positive reinforcement strategies + Promote student independence and self-advocacy skills + Assist with community outings, job training experiences, and transition-related activities + Collaborate with teachers and program staff to support student goals •Health & Personal Care Aide Responsibilities•+ Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, hygiene, grooming, dressing, and feeding as needed + Support students with mobility and transfers following established safety procedures + Monitor student well-being and communicate concerns to appropriate staff + Assist with health-related tasks as directed by district policies and assigned personnel + Maintain student dignity, privacy, and safety at all times + Provide supportive care that encourages independence whenever possible •Minimum Qualifications•+ High school diploma or equivalent required + Must be at least 18 years of age + Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and diverse support needs + CPR certification preferred or required by assignment + TB clearance (PPD, questionnaire, or chest x-ray, as applicable) + Current health screening and documentation as required + Ability to comply with all federal, state, local, and district requirements + Previous experience in special education, caregiving, behavioral support, healthcare, or human services is preferred but not required •Ideal Candidate•We are looking for individuals who are: + Patient, compassionate, and dependable + Comfortable supporting individuals with varying levels of need + Team-oriented and collaborative + Professional, respectful, and adaptable + Interested in careers in special education, psychology, social work, healthcare, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or related fields + Passionate about helping young adults build independence and achieve meaningful life goals •Location•Assignments available in: + Del Mar, CA + Carmel Valley, CA + Encinitas, CA •Schedule•+ School-year positions + Monday-Friday schedule + Typical daytime school hours (varies by assignment) •Why Join Us?
