Job Description

Job Description CDL-Exeter is looking for a dependable and responsible Direct Support Professional to join our Adult Day Program team. Our staff support adults with developmental disabilities with daily activities, community outings, social skills, communication, health and safety, and independence. We are looking for someone who is attentive, patient, reliable, and comfortable working closely with individuals both at our program and in the community.
Responsibilities include:
Providing direct supervision and support to individuals Maintaining awareness of individuals and their whereabouts at all times Assisting with community outings and activities Transporting individuals in company vehicles as assigned Assisting individuals with personal care and self-care needs when necessary Supporting social, communication, behavioral, and independent living skills Following individual service plans and staff-to-individual ratios Completing required documentation Following all CDL-Exeter health, safety, transportation, and emergency procedures Working cooperatively with other staff and administration Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Valid California driver's license Good driving record Reliable transportation to and from work Ability and willingness to drive company vehicles Must be dependable and punctual Must be comfortable providing direct supervision and personal-care assistance Must be able to complete required background clearances and employment requirements Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required
Schedule Schedule:
Monday-Friday, approximately 7:15 AM-3:00 PM (depending on route)
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 40.0 per week
