Direct Support Professional Community Anchor Services - 3.8 Modesto, CA Job Details Full-time $18 - $19 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Certified Home Health Aide Driver's License First Aid Certification Driving Direct support CNA Mobile devices Full Job Description Field Staff / Direct Support Professional (DSP) Community Anchor Services is seeking dependable, compassionate, and motivated Field Staff / Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities living independently in the community. Position Overview As a Field Staff/DSP, you will work directly with individuals in their homes and community to help them maintain independence, achieve personal goals, and complete daily living tasks. This position requires someone who is reliable, patient, professional, and comfortable working independently in the field. Job Responsibilities Provide individualized support based on each person's needs and goals Assist with daily living and independent living skills Provide transportation to medical appointments, shopping, errands, and community activities Assist with grocery shopping, meal planning, and meal preparation Support individuals with budgeting, paperwork, scheduling appointments, and organization Encourage community involvement and social activities Provide medication reminders when required Maintain accurate and timely daily service documentation Follow Individual Program Plans (IPP/ISP), company policies, and service requirements Communicate concerns, changes, and incidents promptly to supervisors Maintain professional boundaries and respect individuals' rights, privacy, and choices Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred, but training may be provided if we feel you may be a good fit Must be dependable and able to work independently Must have reliable transportation Valid California driver's license Current automobile insurance and registration Ability to pass required background checks Strong communication and documentation skills Must be comfortable traveling to individuals' homes and throughout the community Must be able to use a smartphone for clocking in/out and completing required documentation What We're Looking For We are looking for staff who are reliable, patient, respectful, and genuinely committed to helping others become as independent as possible . Attendance and dependability are extremely important, as the individuals we serve rely on staff for scheduled support. Schedule Full-time opportunities may be available. Schedules vary depending on individual service needs and may include weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
